Delete your account.

You may permanently delete your Bhrigu account and the data tied to it at any time. Deletion is currently handled manually by the team — the process is described below.

How to request deletion.

Send an email from the email address associated with your Bhrigu account to:

Use the subject line “Account deletion request — Bhrigu”. Include the email address of the account you want deleted. Sending from that same address is the simplest way to verify the request; if that isn't possible, we may reply asking for one additional identifier (e.g., approximate signup date, a recent reading's date, or a payment reference).

How long it takes.

We aim to process every verified deletion request within 14 days of receiving it. Most requests are handled sooner. You will receive a confirmation email from the same address above once the deletion is complete.

If you have not heard back within 14 days, please reply to your original email and we will treat it as escalated.

What we delete.

When your deletion request is completed, we permanently remove:

  • Your account record — email, name, password hash, credits balance, authentication tokens.
  • All birth-data profiles you created (name, date of birth, time of birth, place of birth, computed chart).
  • All saved readings and Session Leaves.
  • All voice-session records tied to your account — transcripts and post-call summaries.
  • All conversation history (Ask / Talk / Brahman Mode).
  • Referral associations and any pending invites tied to your account.

What we retain, and why.

A small set of records is kept for legal and accounting compliance even after account deletion:

  • Payment and refund records — kept for up to 7 years to meet Indian tax and accounting obligations. These records contain the transaction amount, date, processor reference, and the last-4 of the card or UPI VPA — not your account contents.
  • Anonymised aggregate analytics — counts, funnels, and health metrics that cannot be linked back to you.
  • Audit log of the deletion itself — the date the deletion was processed and by whom on our team, kept for internal auditability.

Third-party providers.

Some data leaves our systems during normal use — payment processors handle your payment, the voice-conversation service transports your audio, and AI model providers generate readings from your prompts. Their own retention policies apply to whatever data reaches them, and their retention windows are governed by their terms of service, not ours.

When your account is deleted from Bhrigu, we do not automatically also purge these upstream copies — you may need to contact those providers directly if you have concerns about their retention. We will identify the specific providers on request as part of processing your deletion.

Deletion is permanent.

Once processed, your account and its associated data cannot be recovered. Credits that were on your balance at the time of deletion are forfeited and cannot be refunded or transferred. If you may want to return later, consider simply signing out instead — your account can sit idle indefinitely at no cost.
